About us

The CSIR has a well-established support structure for intellectual property (IP) and technology transfer activities. Most Operating Units and Centres have a technology transfer professional called a R&D Outcomes Manager, who is responsible for IP management and technology transfer in that unit or centre. Many also have additional R&D Outcomes staff members.

The CSIR also has a central office dealing with IP and technology transfer, called Licensing & Ventures. This office provides support on a CSIR-wide basis for IP and technology transfer activities, and develops policies, processes and guidelines for managing IP and technology transfer.
