Data harvesting and/or collaboration on speech transcription

The CSIR would like to elicit interest from organisations that have access to large volumes of speech  and/or text data in any of the official languages and who would like to donate data (under appropriate terms and conditions to be negotiated) to the CSIR to develop automatic transcription technology.

Application

The ability to automatically transcribe speech data has a number of useful applications. For instance, where analytics have to be performed on large volumes of speech data, established text analytics tools can be used to perform data analysis once the speech has been converted to text. ASR also has the potential to extract patterns directly from the speech data, which can enhance the accuracy of text-based data analytics
