Technology Description: 

A boot that protects the wearer’s foot against the effects of a landmine explosion by managing the shock wave in the first instance and managing the blast within the sole of the boot as a secondary mechanism;  whilst maintaining manoeuverability  and ease of use for the wearer.  The technology applied to the boot is unique and has been patented.  The product will provide an easy to use, flexible mine boot for military personnel, humanitarian workers and civilian populations in land mine affected areas.  The main purpose of the mine boot is to reduce injuries and damage sustained from mine explosions.  The product has been developed by a team of internationally recognised scientific personnel that are both highly experienced in the field of mine protection and de-mining technology.
